Mark Zuckerberg will be joining tech journalist, David Kirkpatrick in the first of the week’s Mobile World Live keynote sessions.

They will be exploring the importance of extending the benefits of ubiquitous Internet access to the unconnected world.

An omnipresent Internet connection will largely impact areas that have previously been unreachable.

It could have the potential to alter the way people who populate these areas live their lives regarding such things as online retail, healthcare, and education.

Facebook is one of the leading mobile messaging apps – which overall grew by 203 per cent between 2012 and 2013.

So it comes as no surprise that Mr Facebook would want to Zucker-punch these issues right in the throat if it means he can gain some more Facebook-addicts to use his services.

Zuckerberg will be speaking during the first week of the event which runs from 24th – 27th February.

Additional speakers will be Laetitia Gazel Anthoine, CEO and founder of Connecthings, Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar, CEO at Etisalat, Susan Siegal, CEO, GE Ventures and healthymagination, and Chua Sock Koong, group CEO at Singtel.

Mobile Entertainment’s editor, Zen Terrelonge will be at MWC 2014 – so keep an eye out here for all the up-to-date MWC 2014 news. (mobile-ent)
