Apple smartphones and tablets running iOS 7 can now remove some of the restrictions and modify settings or software to suit their needs thanks to a new jailbreak tool that makes iOS 7 devices more customizable and powerful. The evasi0n jailbreak tool is now live and offers an incredibly simple way to connect a device to a Mac OS X or Windows computer and then unlock any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4. The jailbreak tool holds the users hands through the process and is fairly simple.
At the moment, it may make sense to hold off on jailbreaking. It's still unclear what problems may arise from jailbreaking an iPhone, and many existing jailbreak tweaks are not yet working. There were also some questionable issue issues with a pirated app store being included in the download. The drama should be sorted out shortly, and once it is, users willing to jailbreak their iPhone or iPad will gain the ability to tether without having a mobile hotspot plan and gain more control over the way their phone performs. At least they will once more tweaks are made compatible with the latest jailbreak. (mobileburn)
