Huawei, the OEM from China has recently sent out an invitation for an event that will take place this coming December 16th, and when you take into consideration that the word “Honor” has already been printed on the invite itself, one would be hard pressed to think of anything else other than the fact that this would be the event where the Huawei Honor 4 is launched. Just in case you were wondering, the Huawei Honor 4 is also known as the Huawei Glory 4 in other markets. Regardless, a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, and the Honor 4/Glory 4 will feature MediaTek’s octa-core MT65492 processor.
This celebrated processor claims to run all 8 cores simultaneously, which will be different from Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 5 chip, where the latter relies on big.LITTLE architecture which would allow a group of four cores to run at any one time. Rumored hardware specifications of the Huawei Honor 4 include a 5.5″ display at 720 x 1280 resolution, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 13MP shooter at the back and a 5MP front facing camera, with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box. Now, to wait for the really serious stuff that all of us have been looking out for – pricing and availability details which will hopefully be revealed on December 16th as well. (ubergizmo)
