The latest collaboration between Eminem and Rihanna has officially released, with the rap-pop duo hooking up on a Marshall Mathers LP 2 track entitled, "The Monster." Em and Ri-Ri previously perfected the single with their track "Love the Way You Lie," which received 11-time platinum honors.
Co-written by songwriter Bebe Rexha and featuring production from Frequency, the track has a similar message to "Love The Way You Lie" and features Rihanna singing another tantalizing hook: "I'm friends with the monster under my bed...You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath."
With Rihanna covering the latest issue of British GQ as Medusa, it certainly seems the singer knows a thing or two about monsters.
Eminem has officially released the tracklist for the deluxe edition of his upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, and the Detroit MC has definitely been spending some long hours in the studio.
The 21-track piece will feature six additional songs, including features from Sia and Jamie N Commons. The rapper also unveiled the cover art for the LP's deluxe edition.
The 40-year-old recently spoke to Rolling Stone about the pressures he faced with the project and how his work ethic has changed over the years. Here's a portion of the interview:
"On his approach to the album:
['The Marshall Mathers LP 2' is] not necessarily a sequel, as much as it is a revisitation. So there's not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it's more about the vibe, and it's more about the nostalgia.
On pressures and process of making the album:
Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectations. I wouldn't want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs - and just when you think you got it, you listen and you're like, 'F*ck, man! I feel like it needs this or that,' to paint the whole picture."
The full interview will be available in the Nov. 7 issue of the magazine.

With Mathers' new album releasing in just under two weeks, "Rap God" provides a much needed peek into the rapper's state of mind during the 14 months it took to complete the project.
