Check out what's coming for WhatsApp

The next update to WhatsApp is looking to be pretty big. Many details have leaked from the beta app in the past few weeks. features like “last seen”  in messages, custom notification sounds, and attaching videos have all shown either shown up in the beta or leaked. Today another new feature has leaked that should make WhatsApp feel more personal.

One feature that was leaked in the past included custom backgrounds for conversation view. Today that feature is getting even better. The leak shows the ability to set custom backgrounds for individual contacts. You can use that to color code conversations, upload images of you are your friend, or whatever you would like. In addition to being able to upload your own photos you can also perform a web search.

This is a pretty neat feature to go along with all the other leaks. WhatsApp has been busy working on their Windows Phone app. We just hope the update comes out soon.
