Back at Mobile World Congress Sandisk announced a new 128GB model of their microSDXC cards. That’s a lot of storage in a tiny package. Not all devices support these new cards yet, but at least one Windows Phone has been confirmed, and several others should work too. If you need some extra space for taking photos with your Lumia this might be worth checking out.
A Lumia 1520 user has confirmed that th 128GB microSDXC works just fine. He was able to record video on it and it performed about 20% faster than the 64GB model. The microSDXC cards boast twice the speed of other microSD cards. So far the Lumia 1520 is the only device that has been confirmed to work, but we imagine most Lumia devices with micsoSD card slots should support it. Those devices are the 520, 521, 525, 620, 625, 720, 820, 810, 822, 1320 and 1520.
You can get file transfer speeds up 30MB/s. It’s pretty awesome, but you’ll be paying a pretty penny for it. Amazon has the 128GB card listed at $119 with adapter. Unfortunately, if you really want one they won’t be shipping for another 4-6 weeks. How much is storage worth to you? (winsource)
