Plex were one of the first Apps to embrace the Chromecast and added support to cast your content via the Plex Android App to your TV by using the accompanying server for the transcoding, but this was only available to Plex Pass members.
Now Plex have opened opened up Chromecast support for everyone, and it’s as simple as just updating to the latest version of the Android App from the Google Play Store.
Plex not only supports casting your music, videos, and photos, but they also support “content mirroring” which displays the details of the media you are browsing on your device on the big screen.
A great enhancement to an already fantastic App – if you are yet to give Plex a try then it’s worth diving in and trying it out.
